Br Rupert Allen's Solemn Vows

Br Rupert Allen of the Praemonstratensian house in Chelmsford took his Solemn Vows on 22nd July, and I was delighted to be asked to make a cake in honour of this great occasion. The arms of the house and of the order are on the sides and on the top is a white four horned biretta. The Latin quotation is from the ceremony and reads "Suscipe me Domine secundum eloquium tuum et vivam".

Dorothea's First Communion

These photos should have gone up long ago! My daughter Dorothea had her First Holy Communion last year, and for the great occasion she asked for a cake with herself receiving the Sacrament from Our Lord. Here's what I came up with.

Alice in Wonderland

I created this Alice in Wonderland cake for the first baby of Lucie and Tom whose wedding cake keen readers will already have seen (the Bride and Groom under Lamppost cake). Baby Alice's Christening was on 10th April and her cake features her climbing out of the Mad Hatter's teapot.

Martha and Pippin

I made these models of two real Dutch rabbits called Martha and Pippin for the birthday of Benna Schellhorn. They aren't as cute as the real ones!

Orin's Naming Day Cake

I made this cake for Baby Orin's naming day. He is the new brother of Hattie, for whom I made the ".. and the pea went pop!" cake.

Wedding cake with sugar fabric roses

I made this four tier cake for Emily and Andrew's wedding at Radley College. Although the cake is enormous, it doesn't look out of place in its magnificent surroundings!
